Share real experience. Treat people properly.

BahtStretcher works when members share useful, honest information about living and travelling in Thailand. These guidelines apply to posts, replies, images, profiles, usernames and reports.

What we welcome

• First-hand prices, budgets, accommodation experiences and practical advice.
• Respectful questions, corrections and disagreement.
• Honest criticism of a business or service based on your experience.
• Occasional ordinary swearing used for emphasis or frustration when it is not aimed at another person or group.

What is not allowed

• Threats, targeted insults, bullying, intimidation, harassment or degrading attacks.
• Hate or discrimination based on race, nationality, religion, sex, sexuality, disability or another protected characteristic.
• The severe abusive “c-word”, including obvious spelling or punctuation evasions.
• Sexual remarks about another person, sexual harassment, solicitation, exploitation or explicit sexual material.
• Scams, fraud, illegal services, fake guarantees, impersonation or deliberately misleading claims.
• Spam, repeated promotions, manipulation, automated flooding or duplicate messages.
• Passports, visas, bank details, addresses, private conversations or other personal information without clear permission.
• Graphic violence, child-safety violations, dangerous instructions or content encouraging serious harm.

Post responsibly

Describe what you personally observed, include dates or prices when they matter, and distinguish opinion from fact. Do not invent accusations or organise attacks on people or businesses. Check images carefully before uploading them.

Free Thailand business promotion

Owners, staff and representatives receive one free business promotion in each rolling seven-day period. Select Business promotion, clearly identify your connection to the business and include its Thai city, province or location. The business must be physically based in Thailand or genuinely operated from and serving customers in Thailand. Businesses outside Thailand are not accepted.

Promotional posts, images or replies placed outside the declared business-promotion option may be held by the site for owner review. The first confirmed attempt receives a warning; repeated attempts can pause posting for seven days and then thirty days. Genuine independent customer recommendations and honest reviews remain welcome.

Moderation and reports

Automated checks may publish clearly safe content or hold uncertain content for the owner. The owner may approve, reject, hide or delete content; explain a rejection privately; resolve reports; restrict posting; or ban a member. Serious behaviour may result in immediate action, while repeated lower-level problems may lead to escalating restrictions.

Use Report when a post or reply breaks these rules. Explain the problem accurately; reports are for safety and moderation, not for silencing disagreement. Members receive moderation decisions through their account notifications where appropriate.

Names and accounts

Choose a public name that does not impersonate someone else or contain abusive or sexual language. Later name changes require owner approval. Do not evade a restriction by creating replacement accounts.

Deleted means deleted

Permanent deletion is final. BahtStretcher does not restore posts, replies, images or accounts after deletion has been confirmed. Read every warning carefully before deleting anything.

Community posts are personal experiences, not professional legal, medical, financial, visa or immigration advice. Verify important decisions with official sources or qualified professionals.
