List your regular destinations and price the gaps between them before deciding that a distant room saves money. Compare a realistic mix: walking for local errands, shared songthaew journeys, app taxis when necessary and any vehicle costs. For negotiated or chartered trips, agree the full fare before departure. Keep small cash and allow extra travel time during rain and busy periods. If considering a motorcycle, the monthly rental is only one line.
